Welcome to my webpage.  I am a Psychometrician with large professional experience in Measurement and Assessment Science based in Montreal, Quebec. Before moving to Canada I obtained a B.A. and a license in Psychology in Guatemala, where I worked as a school psychologist. I have an MA in Psychology and advanced studies at the PhD level. I have worked for almost two decades on research methods in psychology and in development of testing instruments for constructs in health and I/O psychology applications, as well as developmental, educational, and clinical psychology. As a consultant I have worked on factor analytical and latent-trait methods of measurement and in applications of linear mixed effects to nested, longitudinal, unbalanced data. Psychometrics is a career I have followed with passion. I have profound opinions about testing, assessment, and measurement, as well as informed takes on a number of subject matters.

I have extensive industry experience in all aspects of product development. From blueprint and product conception, data collection, project management. I have deep knowledge and practical skills in item and scoring algorithm creation, predictive modeling, reliability and validity, quality assurance, as well as launch and post-release maintenance of psychometric assessments. My toolbox of methods include but are not limited to general linear models, factor analysis, and latent variable modelling (including IRT). I am proficient in SPSS, SAS, MPlus and R.
